I'm always delighted to receive a gift from anyone. It's not the gift but it's the thought that goes with it! It gives me joy to realize that someone cares to wrap a gift for me. The price of the gift does not matter to me, it is more of the thought that the giver cared and remembered me. I think it is one very good thoughtful gesture to our loved ones and friends, so I myself do love to give gifts. It's my way of saying I love them and they are special to me. How about you? Any special gift that really makes you jump with joy or anyone you made so happy because of your gift? Kindly share?

If only I have more money to buy gifts for my loved ones and friends, I will. I love to give but my pocket refuses,
If someone wants to give me one, I want shirts. Anything but shirts because I want to show the one who gave it how I treasure our relationship by wearing it. Show him/her how much I love the gift and person, too. KEEP SMILING = NEIL

So you love shirts? You are so much like my son who love shirts so I shower him with shirts!
And yes you are right, our pocket sometimes can't afford to buy gifts for loved ones and friends but you know as Ms. Antique Lady posted here, little things mean a lot and so you can always express your thoughtfulness in a hundred different little things more than just gifts and that would mean a lot to your loved ones and friends.

i think anytime someone remembers u w/a gift makes me feel great & that i have been thought of. a phone call from someone u haven't heard from in a long time is like a gift to me. little things mean alot & i agree w/you it's not the gift as much as the thought. cards are nice to get & nice to send to people especially shut-ins. we could all be more thoughtful.

Of course you will be hurt to see your gift not appreciated. Imagine, you took time out to buy something for them then they do not like. Oh it hurts really. But I think it is not a good gesture to show the giver that they don't like the gift. In every thing they should give thanks.

The stuffed toys that my Korean friends had given me
on my 25th birthday. I love it very much it's a color
pink rabbit. I give them each a picture frame with my
picture on it.

Pink rabbit? It could really be so cute! I love pink in stuffed toys so I understand why you so adore it. Hope you receive more of that sort and yes, give out as well.

Right, receiving even a small gift is just as precious to me - especially if it's from my loved ones. I enjoy the giving as well - the shopping for the item, wrapping up and decorating with ribbons and all is just as fun! And the satisfaction I get from the person's joy on opening the gift!
One of the few occasions that we have this, is during Christmas. It's really a joy to give and receive - I love seeing the smiles and laughter on my parents' faces when they receive little gifts from their grandchildren, and the shrieks of laughter from the kids, when they open theirs! It's simply wonderful!

Yes, you are right! Christmas time is the much awaited time of the year because of the gift giving and receiving. It is really exciting and adding so much joy to the occasion. And parents really are touched when receiving gifts. It's not always them that would give, they should also receive from kids. Give and take is what makes the world go round merrily.
