Do you talk about money while having dinner?

Hi everyone!

I don't know if this is a saying but I often hear people say never to talk about money while having dinner. When I was a kid I have also heard that from the elders in my family. But whats confusing is that my parents never forbid us to talk about money while having dinner and often times we do that especially when we're all having dinner. I have also read in the book "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" that we should talk about money over dinner with the children.

So in your family - do you talk about money while having dinner? Do you think its ok or its improper?
