My kitten, Yaoming, ate ice cream with me last night! I was eating ice cream and my kitten same up to my lap and sat there looking at me. She looked so cute as she watched me eat and her eyes were like telling me that she wanted some of what i was eating so i shared my ice cream with her, which she licked and ate with gusto. My question: Is it healthy for cats to eat ice cream? I dont know if it's good for cats or not. It's my first time to own a house cat, and i really dont know much about caring for them. My pet before was a parrot, so i only know stuff about birds. If there's anyone in MyLot who's quite an expert in cat care (or just know a bit about cats) pls anwer my questin. Thanks!

Cats and kittens love ice cream, as it is milk based. Milk is good for them. I would not give her chocolate though, as it is not good for any animal, they say chocolate can kill them.

Kitties eating ice cream - Cats love ice cream
I am not an expert, but I know cats love ice cream. Be sure to give them vanilla only. When I have ice cream, I sometimes give my cats about a half of a teaspoon full. They love it, and afterwards they are licking lips, licking lips

That's a relief to know. It was my cat's first time to eat ice cream. My parrot used to eat ice cream a lot, and i didnt think cats are ok with ice cream too. thanks!
