even if you have no idea on what topic you will discuss? so you just click the "start discussion" button, see the blank discussion form for long time and type nothing, and finally just leave the page? well, i do that several times. sometimes i just leave the page, but other times it will end by starting a stupid discussion what about you? thx in advance for sharing

I actually think of the discussions first before I start them. In a way it is called planning the discussion. In my first month here, I keep a list of topics I want to start. I have only started 1/4 of that list because the others are already started by other members. Have a nice day!

hello there, i got mixed with your name to another one on my list yay! anyway, i have not tried to open a start discussion link if i dont have much to say or if i dont feel like it, i guess that is why i rarely satr my own discussion now coz i dont feel like it and that my mind seems to have not much essence. i like to start my own discussion for three main reason: 1. to free my mind i have sometimes down moment and it is nothing to do with my situation just a depression thing i guess so i have to just express whatever i have in mind without expecting any body to understand or respond to my discussion. my main goal is to ease my mind and when im done with my writing i feel much better and THAT symbolizes that my goal has been attained. 2. to have a discussion this are the times where i want to just interact with anybody out here and just exchange thoughts and views and have an understanding base from what we have discussed. i like the fact that i can hear and see others point of view as it helps me realize that we are all different person be it real or not. i dont get nasty with anything i take part of coz i feel we are all free to express ourselves and that is the main thing why we are discussing something. last but not the least... 3. to learn there are some information i am not aware of specially if it involves something that is not around me. mylot provided me with diverse people and that helps me learn coz they are in different part of the world and even to those who are living in US, they still have a different knowledge from me and that helps me learn more in so many different ways. out here, i can learn about life, relationship, dogs, religion, politics and so much more. all in all it may be stupid sometimes but heck... as long as it is not harming anyone then i guess i should not worry bout it. that i guess is the beauty of open communication/discussion what ever you want to call it LOL have a good one!

It does also happen to me but if I really can't find words to start with I never insist it and just leave the start discussion page and I go to the friends started discussion page.

No, I rarely start discussions so when I think of something I go straight up there and do it and get it over with.

I did that many times when i was a kid here. Even i started a few discussions without thinking anything. Now i am a little grown up here i don't do that anymore. I think everyone does that when they are a kid here.

If you see my profile you will notice that though my rating is over 2500 as a result of responding for over 2 years, I may not even started 10 discussions. This is because I don't start one unless I have something which I cannot bear not to tell everyone. I just enjoy responding to other people's discussions as I am more relaxed that way.

hi josephperera, that's good. i also generally prefer responding other friends' discussions than starting the new one. still, sometimes i feel that i have to start a discussion, however stupid it is . thx for responding..

It depends on my mood.. only when i am in a good mood.. a lot of thoughts creep in my mind and i may go on with discussions.. but i have a backlog of responding to my friends topics.. and nearly i have some 100 mails to be attended.. once i get cleared i may come up with new topics.. Till then even i some topics surface my mind i get the same noted in some form, and come up with a discussion later. Take care friend.
