Tom Hanks or Will Smith, who is better actor?

I think I just like Will Smith better. He is always so funny and it makes me lighthearted.

I love both Hanks and Smith. They are both great actors. They both play totally different types of characters though. We just saw Hancock last week. We both thought it was pretty entertaining. I have not seen a Tom Hanks movie in awhile though. My favorite actors are Bruce Willis and Denzel Washington.

I have seen a lot of Will smith-I like his movies and the track-Men in Black-he is a very likeable celeb to me-recently I saw him rocking the crown in the Mandella 90th Birth day-how great a man he is in my vie-very charismatic too!

I like them both but I am going to have to give Tom Hanks the better actor award beacause of the movies The Green Mile, and Forrest Gump he was excellent in both of thos movies and that movie that he played by himself with the volleyball Wilson I can't remember the name of that show. But Will Smith is good to.

They're both excellent actors who have perfected their craft over the years. They both started on silly TV comedies and have come a long way since then.

I believe the two are both good actors.

Will Smith is a fine actor but Tom Hanks is far better. he has a better range. Tom can and has played every type of role and he does it well.

Wow, what a question. How can anyone compare these two giants of the film industry. Anyone who has seen Green Mile, Forest Gump, Terminal, Cast Away, or the Davinci Code knows that Tom can do serious just as well as the comedic roles.

In order to compare these two well, you need to look past Wil Smith's comedic side to really see the depth to which he will go for a role. Wil shows his acting chops in such riveting story lines as Six Degrees of Separation, The Legend of Baggar Vance, The Pursuit of Happyness, I Am Legegend, Mohammed Ali, Enemy of the State, and I-Robot.

Wil is more versatile as he has music in his repetoire and Tom has not. Tom has directing credits where Will has music producing ones.

So, it is vey difficult to determine which is better - they both excel in different areas. I would be something to see them in a film together.

Tom Hanks has impressed me the most. Yes, both are great actors and have done a awesome body of work. Will has the action lead nailed down! Tom has the drama lead. I would have to go with those catagories. Humor? Both are funny too. I wonder if they could do a movie together?
