When people respond to discussions you start, do you automatically rate them....

no i am fair to all, i rate there comments according to weather they have answered the question or disscussion topic asked despite weather i agree with what they have to say as everyone is allowed an opinion, i also rate others articles in the same way that way everyone gets a fair rating from me.

No, I don't just rate people + for no reason. I try to rate the way myLot says to:

"Read the topic, response, or comment.
If you find the topic, responses, comments, or photos useful, then positively rate that action by clicking on the plus sign (+) next to it.
If you find the topic, responses, comments, or photos not useful, and feel it negatively impacts the myLot community, then negatively rate that action by clicking on the minus sign (-) next to it.
If you have no strong opinions either way, you should not rate the topic, response, comment, or photo. Many actions are indeed "neutral" and should not be rated at all.
If you feel the topic, response, comment, or photo violates the myLot community guidelines, then click on the explanation point (!) next to it, and report the abuse to the myLot staff."

I don't rate every comment made to a discussion I have started. I probably should since they took the time to answer me
I do normally rate other peoples discussions though if I am answering it

I honestly forget about the rating button. Now I feel bad. If I really like the discussion I'll remember to give a rating. Yeah the obnoxious stuff doesn't even register with me so I just ignore most of those posts.

When people respond to discussions you start, do you automatically rate them? yes, i always click on the + button for all of my friend's that respond to one of my new discussions around here at Mylot. unless like you said, if they totally have something obnoxious to say, then bonk, i usually will not rate them, i hate clicking on the - button! that rarely ever happens for me either here at Mylot. lol i would wish that all of my friend's here at Mylot would do the same for me as well, is click on the + button when that they see my discussions floating around Mylot. thanks for the interesting discussion.

Oh, yes, I automatically give them a positive rating, too, even if I don't like the topic or disagree with them. If they are abusing the rules, then I might mark them negative. I generally don't rate obnoxious people if they contribute something to the conversation and are not cussing or calling people names. I think everyone has a right to say what they want on any subject. If I really don't like the subject or the person writing it, I ignore the post.

i use to give them ratings after i've read the discussion, then respond to it for acknowlegment.,

I hadn´t thought of that. I give a plus rating only to people with outstanding answers.
I would never give a plus rating to someone who is just taking mylot to earn some money. The kind of people that write a 3 word answer. I would think it´s not fair with people who elaborate.

unless they said something totally obnoxious
then I would hit the negative key but this seldom
happens thank goodness for that.,I love to rate
people positive and mylot asks that we do so more
than we have been doing. it offsets any negatives
and according to mylot it helps everybody on
mylot so I do it all the time.
