Lack of Sleep Is It ReallyDangerous?

i sleep last this day at around 5am in the morning and wake up at 7am. i am weak the whole day, better we don't have class but i went home after 10am and download many songs for my customers in my shop ask me to transfer to his ipod. i can't resit the sleepy feeling so i went home at 5pm and sleep for and hour. how if i don't have time take a single nap, maybe my health would be a mess. do you believe?

I think lack of sleep can be bad for your health but I would think it would take a while to get to that point. Sometimes we just need to stop and let our bodies take control. If you are really feeling that you cannot sleep at all check with your doctor.

Yup, 2 hrs of sleep could destroy ur health, even so mine. Actually i have strated a night shift job, and its like eating away my sleep, but i still manage to sleep in the morning hrs and week ends, and i find it difficult too...

The brain needs time to recover. That is why, even if you can't sleep one night, you shouldn't stay awake more than 48 hours. You will be tired and weakened and there's no good coming from that. Whatever may be the reason you stay awake, it's not worth it.

Yhea thats true because It happened to me and I really felt dizzy and like floating in the air... hahahha. I think if i have plan to stay late and woke up early I will try to sleep the whole day to overcome my lack of sleep.

Im sure that lack of sleep impairs our functioning greatly,as our wits arent as sharp and we arent sufficiently rested as we should be.I know myself that if I go short of sleep then I dont quite feel there.I feel as though my reactions are a lot slower,so therefore I do try to get sufficient sleep,the only thing is that I used to love staying up late and going on my computer,but now thats lately a no no for me,theres no way I can go much beyond eleven o clock, and im done for!!I need a good sleep to feel refreshed,and as long as I get at least seven hours then I can look forward to the day ahead!but if you are driving or using machinery of any kind then you need to take extra care,it would be easy to let your concentrsation slip and that could well be lethal.

Yes sleep is very important. The body needs down time to rejuvenate. When I was young I did much like you have described here. I would look and feel terrible after a few days and it seemed that it would take twice as much time to feel good again.

Yes sleep deprivation is no joke our bodies need 8 to 9 hours of rest to function properly during the day so always get the proper amount of sleep not just resting your body for a few minutes or a couple hours our body needs sleep so I feel you.
