Dr. Who: Who's Loves This Show & Why?  |

 My husband recently has gotten me into watching the BBC series Dr. Who with David Tennant as the famous dr. I would have never guessed that this would be a show that I would ever get into watching but shickingly, it's a really great show! I'm not normally a big sci-fi fan. However, I have been known to get into some sci-fi televison shows in the past, such as Quantum Leap, Sliders, Roswell and Smallville (which I'm still into of course)...
Anyway, I find Dr. Who to be really interesting and of course it helps that the dr is extremely wittingly funny and really adorable! I love him with Rose (played by Billy Piper) and I hate that they took her off the show but they did seem to wrap up her storyline in a pretty decent way (I won't go into details for those of you who have not seen the final episode of the current season as of yet). Although, I'm hoping that this will not be the last that we see of Rose.
I'm really anxious to see what the new season has in store for us. I hate that we have to wait until December and then from what I hear from my husband, there will only be about six episodes produced this coming season. That's a real bummer!
What do you all think of the Dr. Who series? Who's your favorite dr, Eccleson or Tennant? For me, I would have to say Tennant, although Eccleson was awesome as well. Anyway, I would love to hear your thoughts on this show!

2.  Trace86 (2623) | 1 month ago |  My brother-in-law and sister-in-law got me interested in this show a few years ago. We downloaded it off the internet the same day it was on in the UK and passed it around.
I think both Eccleston and Tennant are very good doctors. I tend to think I like Tennant better but attribute that to the fact that he has been on longer.
He has had some amazing chemistry with his companions. I can't wait to see who his next companion will be.
I keep going to youtube to watch the clip of the Master singing his song and dancing his dance to "I Can't Decide" by the Scissor Sisters. He is so funny!

I've seen almost every episode from Jon Pertwee onwards (I think there's one I've not seen), and several from the two prior Doctors. Also the two films from the sixties, in one of which, Bernard Cribbens stars (Donna's grandfather in the last series).

I haven't been into it that long but I know my husband has been watching it since he was a kid and knows all about all the diffrent actors who have played the dr through out it's run. Right now I'm just catching up on the latest edition to the series. I started watching Episode one from season one last night and I'm going to be watching some more tomorrow.
