Oh my, my ten year old daughter Erica told me how embarrassing I was. I do silly dances to make my kids laugh, sing silly songs even though I sing horrible and yes I actually kissed Erica on the top of her head and told her how much I loved her in Walmart in front of total strangers. I try to be cool and watch tv with her and find out what kind of mudic she listens to. I actually care about what she does and says and I love fixing her hair. But to a ten year old that is so embarrasing. I sing off key in the car and give her hugs and let her know how important she is to me. But I still embarrass her. When I was dancing around the living room the other day with her brothers and sister she came in and said mom cant you act cool.I looked at her and smiled and told her its my job to act uncool and embarrass her because I am her mom. I know she loves me and that one day she will appreciate and cherish these goofy uncool moments but I do laugh and smile all at the same time when she says mom your so embarrasing.
So how do you embarrass your kids? How often does your child say how emabarrassing you are?
We may be uncool and goofy and so embarrassing but one day our kids will understand why and then in turn they will hear the exact same thing.

I love to embarass my kids. My 19 year old is impossible to embarrass she'll go nose to nose with me but my 20 year old now she's to easy. One day we were at walmart getting groceries. We had reached the bread section and I realized I'd forgotten to get chicken nuggets. At the time there was a fast food commercial that centered around 'chickens don't have nuggets' so as my third born and I ran back to the freezer section we started mocking the commercial laughing like school kids. When we got back to the cart we're still chanting 'chickens don't have nuggets' To this day some 5 years later my 20 year old still turns read when we talk about the day we danced through walmart chanting 'cause chickens don't have nuggets'
I tell my kids it's one of the few pleasures in my life getting to embarrass them they'll just have to get over it. Must not do to bad their friends spend more time at my house then at their own
