Is It Just Me or Does this Happen To All?

I know when I was younger, I liked eating a lot. Of course, I haven't puked myself by over-eating, but still, I couldn't imagine a week without having goodies for the evening tiffins (like an outing to the KFC or McDonald's) on at least three days, and a grand dinner in the weekend. But nowadays, I don' feel like eating that much. I've absolutely shunned all those tasty snacks and when I have those dinners, I usually eat far less than I used to eat a few years back, usually ending on just one helping whereas previously, I used to go for two helpings always. Somehow, I feel that my capacity for eating has decreased. But I'm not that old yet! Let me tell you that I have a healthy stomach. It's not that I'm down with stomach disorders frequently. So what's gone wrong with me? Have you also faced similar symptoms? Do share with me. Cheers.

I think this has more to do with developing an apathy for the foods which we eat very frequently. I've been eating those junk foods for such a long time that they don't interest me any more and I absolutely don't feel like eating them any more. God knows what will happen. I personally won't be liking it if my whole charm towards good food evaporates one day. It's one of the very few attractions I still have left in my life.

Good for you, lynette. Junk food should be shunned by all. After all, it may taste good for that particular moment and you may feel good, but in the long run, you won't be feeling that good, after all.

I can relate to this. However, my story is the other way around. I didn't eat a lot when I was still in school. And now I crave food more often. I think it's because of depression though, but that's another story. I do eat at crazy hours and I do want it to stop. But you know, easier said..There's nothing wrong with you at all. As you get older your eating habits will change.

This is a really dangerous habit which you have got into, Xdrowning. You are indulging in stress-eating. This often happens to depressed people who see eating as a means of escaping from the harsh realities of life. Perhaps you feel that you'll be satisfied by a good meal but the sense of satisfaction remains only as long as the food is still there on the plate. As soon as it is finished, you'll feel yourself craving for more food only to keep the good feeling continue. Please, this is my request. Do try to have a positive attitude towards life. Try to face your problems face on. Think of the satisfaction which you'll get when you actually get to throw the burden off your shoulders. That's the ultimate satisfaction, something which no food can provide you in the world. And indeed, food can only provide you a temporary escape from reality. The reality isn't going to change by itself. So why turn your back to reality? Be brave and face it fearlessly. Be a warrior. Cheers.

R you eating in the same resturant fo a long time? or trying the same menu for long? sometimes it happens that if we r taking the same food for a long period then our tounge become used to it.& we don't feel it much tastier than the older days..I shall suggest you to switch to some other resturant or other types of food.. another thing which you have mentioned ,, it is not wring that you can't take that much of food..it don't seems that you are sick..it may be because you are not finding interesting food around you..so you can't find that much incentive to eat food..so don't worry too much..just try some new recipes..good luck bro..

in my case, i don't know, when someone said i am getting fat...give me some days or weeks for sure i will be thinner. then again when people commented that i am getting thin, i will get fat soon enough. i eat the same thing and also do the same thing. i am really not sure about what is it about the comment that make me that way.
