in as few words as possible ... 1. eaten sugar and animal fats must be burned by exercise, If not, these become body fat. 2. more body fat blocks blood sugar from reaching the muscles. body weakens. 3. Eating more sugar and animal fats is perceived as the solution (not so, exercise is the solution.) it's a deadlock ... more body fat is the result of consuming more food that is burned. Eating more and being sedentary (low physical exertion) leads to further weight gain. Good habits: 1. Fasting - eating less and drinking more water leads to body fat being converted into blood sugar for burning in the muscles (by exercise) 2. Exercise - physical exertion burns the extra fat. This results in better blood circulation and (desireable) weight loss. 3. Stress avoidance - Body processes are hampered by anxiety and stress, be happy and relax. 4. Eat more protein - By eating more protein (if one has no restrictions e.g. arthritis) there is no sugar or fat that can be converted into body fat. While feeling satisfied in eating lots of protein, there is a mechanism that finds a lack of sugar and the body converts bady fat into blood sugar. - the result? harnessing of body fat for energy = weight loss I am no medical expert. Anyone care to comment?

yes, it is interesting. nowadays type 2 diabetes accounts for up to 50% of all new cases of diabetes also in kids. This could be a significant increase from even a decade ago. What should parents know about protecting their children from a diagnosis of type 2 diabetes? It is not simple to answer.
