It depends on the nature of the criticism and who's doing the criticising. If someone just finds fault with me or something I've done I dont take it as well as if they give constructive criticism and suggest ways i could have improved things. There is also the tone of voice - if its an understanding and friendly tone, that's ok but that sort of sneering 'I-know-better-than-you' tone is asking for trouble!! I would far sooner that someone criticised me to my face than b*tched about me to others behind my back.

With amazing calmness as long as it is objective criticism-but I can be very defensive should it just be citicism for criticisms'sake-they are people who have nothng to do except criticize-it doesnt matter how many positives you have scored, you make one small mistake they are on you-I hate them!

I think i react or try to react positively to criticisms. Its just that most of the time when you receive criticisms that are not told to you in a constructive way, you just can't take it right?
I would keep my cool though. i know i will need to control my emotions being faced to face with the person...

Criticisms can be constructive. But, criticisms can also be destructive.
There are instances when I easily get affected by criticisms. However, more often than not, I first evaluate the criticism. If it is constructive, I would definitely take it into consideration and do something about it. On the other hand, if the criticism is obviously destructive, I would just ignore it totally.

Criticism may either be destructive or constructive. Good if it's constructive because it would help you grow. Destructive criticism gives you a sense of discouragement and ruins your mood. I seldom retaliate to these kinds of criticisms unless the matter gets personal, but when I do retaliate, I bite hard.

or maybe i will take it as a challenge so that next time i will do better
