Who are you proud of at this moment?

In my country the president just delivered her State of the Nation Address. I was not really looking forward to this except for one particular event. While most politicians who attended the SONA wore native-made clothes (which by the way I think are expensive and I hope did not come form the pockets of the people in any illegal way) I was filled with pride when I saw Mayor Rosario Camma attended the SONA wearing (with pride) a tribal attire. I admire people who strays from the beliefs of the corrupted majority and as of now he is the person I am most proud of at the moment. How about you?

Yes, I saw the mayor as well, and I believed he was portraying his past, something he is proud of, and not just to create ruckus or make him known to the viewing public. I am proud of him for standing for what he believes in. He's the man for me at the SONA. He really made me feel, like "oh cool". I am with you man. Even if it is the first time I saw that man I was full of admiration for him. Going against the flow.

Thanks for the post. Yes and I do believe we need more people like him. Society dictates how we should act but it should not dictate that we forget who we are.

Hi. I wasn't able to watch the SONA today, but wow that's great news! I am proud of the people who are not afraid to show their background and take pride in it. Some people when they reach positions like to forget where they came from. But if only our politicians would remember, I think we would be going somewhere, don't you think? Kudos to Mayor Rosario Camma!

Indeed kudos to Mayor Camma and to you too my friend. Some of the politicians are proud and happy that they use native made products and though foreign ones are good I just wish to establish that ours are better. LOL (no offense to other people)

i haven't seen SONA because i am living in sweden (but i am a filipino). but i am going to try and watch it later through the net. anyway, i am proud of people... mostly pinoys who just fight for life and are just proud being pinoys. those who are even in spite of problems, they don't try to blame everything on the government or others. but they do strive harder and look for more opportunities to keep going on in life. most of them, succeed and are happy... some are still struggling without an angry heart. they are the people who do their part and they become a part of the solution and not the problem. anne

Well, you certainly have your beliefs. To each his own. And I do respect you for what you believe in. Personally the one I am most proud of at this moment is my son. I am proud of him all of the time however. He can really make me count my blessings and I like to watch him learn and grow on a daily basis. He is getting smarter by the day. I believe that a lot of people are proud of their children at this moment.

Cheers. I'm happy to have your input. I agree that most parent are happy and proud of their children. And as a child of a great mother and father myself I want to say that your kid is very proud to have you as their parent. No child could ever or should ever be not proud of their parents because they are the ones that brought us here in the first place.

You go and get a good night's rest. I think that you have, thank you so much, you really didn't need to, but you did and I'm so thankful for that. Well I'm happy you got to attend your idol's concert. Its alright to be proud of him or her.
