Cleaning vinyl records

I have a very fine velvet record brush that works well. If you can't find one, get a sheet of very fine velvet (not crushed velvet with fancy crap, just plain run-of-the-ill velvet, and rub it off. If it needs more, moisten the velvet a bit with a FINE mist of cool water. Someone once told me to go against the grain when cleaning. That is to say, a record spins clokwise, so go counter clockwise around and around, never ever straight across.
