Is laptop a handy source of information right on our laps. or is it a curse?  

Guys and girls what do you think about this question. A laptop - is it a basic necessity nowaday or just a mode of fashion or showing status. I mean in office whats the use of a laptop.I have seen many people on their office tables using laptops and thier pc are just idle and withereing away in quality day by day in terms of hardware usage. It just adds on to the scrap value of an organization. If it is so that why do people in offices stop using computers and why not issue laptops. As their screen is also much better than computer's.So what do you suggest?
