Does your child ever tell you to Shut Up ?

My children are not yet grown up they are very small, my first child is 19months old and second one is 6 months old. I defenitely dont accept such words from my children , I think it is better if you sit with your child and let her know that what she said was wrong and she is not suppose to tell such kind of words to elderly people, I am sure she is going to listen to you.

When your child says something that she has picked up from television you should explain to her why it is wrong to say...it's rude...it's disrespectful to your parent...it's an ugly word that we do not use...and let her know that she will be punished if she says it again. If she does, then punish her. Make her stand in the corner, send her to her bedroom to think about what she did for a little while, some small punishment to reinforce that it is wrong. If you don't, she will continue to repeat what she has learned.
