This movie was made in 1960 then remade in 1998. If you have never seen either version AND you've never even heard about what happens in it, I urge you to go out and rent it, the original if at all possible. Don't read anything, don't talk to anybody, don't find out ANYTHING about this movie before you see it. It has the greatest plot twist (actually two) in movie history and unfortunately most people have seen it or heard about it before they see it. But if there are any younger people out there who have never heard what happens in it, don't ever let anybody tell you until you've seen it!

I'm one of those who haven't seen even a trailer of that film. Thanks for you info, I think I'll be seeing that this Friday.

I have never seen the movie psycho, I'm not sure if I want to see it either. I;m not one who likes horror movies or anything that is scary. I am quite content with romantic, comedies, action, and literature-based movies. Thankfully my boyfriend is the same way.

Oh yeah! I watched the original Psycho with my friend a few months ago. What a wonderful psychological thriller, my favorite type of horror. Very awesome camera angles and use of shadow as well. Really, an artistic masterpiece in that aspect. My friend and I even jumped and huddled close together from fright at one point.

I have seen bits and pieces from the original movie but I have never seen the whole thing through from beginning to end. I don't even think I've seen any parts of the remake. I have heard this is one of the greatest movies ever mad and hopefully one day I can rent it and watch it. :o) Thanks for reminding me! I always seem to think about it around Halloween time because that's when they show all the horror movies but then I usually forget by the time I make it to the video store.
