You will NEVER vacation at my house you nosy Parker you! Humph! The nerve! Snooping through my mail! Next thing you know you'll be prancing around in my underwear, shoving your big feet into my tiny shoes, spilling coffee on my favorite clothes, and sleeping with my hubs.....................................
On second thought, when can you get here? I need a vacation from the hubs and a really really expensive shopping spree! ROFL

WHAT? You two have never seen a Dong Thong? ROFL And you call yourselves civilized!
Goodie - get my cowboys to show you theirs..................and don't faint, none of them are doctors! LOL
P1ke - it surprises me that a man of your obvious fashion sense has not experienced a Dong Thong! I will remedy that anon.
Right now it's bedtime for me

Nice enough for them to leave me in their home. I would be more than appreciable to her. Why then would I pick up the mail and peek through them. That would be none of my noisy business. I would be there and enjoy myself unless she ask me to pick up mails for her until she gets back.

nope i really dont do that..and for sure not even peeking someone's mails...not even to my children...coz i dont want my mails to be treated as that same manner...but i do peek my husband's snail mail or even the e-mails..well he let me do that and vice versa..its a kind of arrangement between us i guess so no problem...

Unless I'm away visiting my grandparents or sister and brother-in-law, I don't make myself at home even if someone offers that option to me. I am always afraid I'll mess something up, because I'm never really sure if they mean that. Or how much they mean it. For instance, I'm not going to go get something out of their fridge unless I ask for a drink of something and they tell me to go on ahead and get it. But if you come and visit me, you're welcome to look through my mail!

LOL! Nope!
If they say to make my self at home, I respect the kindness, yet I stay polite and do NOT read the mail and snoop about!
I may run to the store and bring home some groceries and offer to cook a nice meal? Or give them a hand wiht the dishes, etc..But otherwise, I always keep in mind that I am a guest in their home and they have been kind to have me.
(Mind my manners.)

Make yourself at home means plain & simple get comfortable, use all the ammenities, enjoy your stay. NO it does NOT mean go through my mail & read it. It does NOT give you the right to rifle through my medicine cabinet. Just think of it this way, DON'T do to them ANYTHING you don't want done to you. I have my doubts that you would want guests going through your mail & other private items.

No I wouldn't because I hate it when someone does that to me. I used to have a bulletin board next to my desk and I kept my bills pinned on it, but people would always read them and I felt it was wrong for them to do that. I think those things are personal and shouldn't be for others peoples eyes. But then again I have always been a very private person and never have been one to reveal to much of my life to anyone.

Nobody is going to invite me over ever now! LOL
Sometimes I just can't help myself.

I would never snoop! I was raised to think that a person's private things like a purse, wallet, mail or medicine cabinet or bedroom is off limits unless you get a specific invitation to look. To this day when my mom wants something from her purse I bring the purse to her! She does the same for me. And we never open each others' mail or throw it out, even if it's junk mail.

LOL! No! I wouldn't do that. In fact, sort of the same but different, my neighbors ask us to grab their mail and newspapers when they go out of town and, I don't rifle through their mail when I grab it out of their mailbox. I also don't go through people's medicine cabinets. I pretty much keep my hands off their stuff. I do search the refrigerator. But, the reason for that is because, if I am on vacation at someone else's house, it is usually a relatives. My parents or my in-laws and, a girl has to eat now and then so, I will get into the fridge and get what looks good. LOL! People know they are welcome to that in my home too.
Now, this isn't to say that I am not sometimes nosy. Just not about other people's stuff in their home. It feels wrong to me to be nosy so, I ignore the impulse! LOL!

Lolol. You'd be bored going through my mail sweetie. However, I'm sure there are plenty of other things at my house to get you attention. Mind you, Thomas would try to make you pet him constantly.
No, I wouldn't go through your mail. However, if I did see a magazine of interest in peeking out, I might snag it to browse through. If you were going to work I would want to come with you and see all the interesting items you carry in your store. Of course, having not been in Texas since my early 20's, most likely I would want to wander around.
Someday I will get back to Texas and your house is a stop I intend to make. Ya know I adore you.
Hugs,
Carolyn
