I make clutchbags with one f my friends. we have made several of them, they are knitted on the outside with flowers on the front and fully lined with funky fabric and zip fastenings, i think they are great! we are now trying to think of ways we can sell them for a little extra cash, we have got a couple in one of the shops in the town centre but it is closing down in a couple of weeks and the larer stores won't take them as we are not a proper company! has anyone got any suggestions!? xx

a friend of mine started with a gift away for valentines day, upon noticing that it gathers people's attention in some way then she started making more of it and sell it online. before she have done selling it online, words of mouth started already through friends and the neighborhood then the friends of friends and the friends of friends and so the pyramid words by mouth started to get bigger even before she was able to start publishing her own website. so i would say, start from you own friends and neighborhood before you overwhelmed yourself with big shops already but if you have the budget then try opening a small room for that. but i would suggest having or creating your own website too, there are free websites around that could host you even someone who is not a computer geek could create something. the friend that i am referring above is the same, i coach her through online in doing things and the way out of making her website. there are also website the offer less than $6 a year when you subscribe to them and you will have a personalized email add. i could refer you one, just like what we have in our website. you can check my profile for our website, that was created by newbie without any formal education on web designing and all those codes or whatever they called them. just make a simple website that is user friendly, you don't need to be fancy coz that would turn off customers away.
good uck and hope you succeed.!! cheers!!

not a prob at all, anytime.
we all pass by at those path once in our life when we took the journey of making money through business. even our training center strive to build a foundation and a reputation that people can depend later on. i believe that when you start low and have a strong reputation from the people around you, then i am very much sure that it would never be hard for you to market your products. and you'll never know that you're now adding people to help you do the job. good luck once again.

Hi thanks for the response! I am waiting for my brother to get home from holiday on sunday then he is going to make me a website - he has a dgree in computing so he should be able to do it a lot better than me! Have been telling all my friends and family so hopefully someone will want to buy one sooner or later, but i feel bad taking money off my friends and end up giving them away, which is a bit silly really! Thank you for your help and advice! happy mylotting!xx

i think that is the prime way why ebay exists and why it is still alive ... sell over them, no charge, no real company, only friends doing things

Have you thought about selling them on Ebay? You can either set up a store or put some up for auction with a Buy It Now price. Have the buyer pay shipping and see what happens.

I know exactly what you can do! Go to http://www.etsy.com/, it is like an ebay, but for all handmade things! So with this site, you have the whole market being dedicated to making handmade things; so with this you have so many more customers than what you would have in a store, because they are looking for what you have to offer. It's a great site, you should definitely join! If you do, be sure to tell me how it goes!
