I was talking with my brother last night........

As we were talking he was telling me that he leads a boring life...haha..He said he does not do much & don't have a lot of places to go & does not have much company except for me...Well i got to thinking about this and i thought well i do not lead such an exciting life myself ,however i am not bored...Usually my day starts out with making coffee,eating breakfast & just doing household chores.I do not work now & i am not real busy...My week consists of going to Walmart around twice a week..I go to garage sales..We usually have company once a week...I talk to my friends on the phone,mow grass,feed my pets & cook....I never really get bored though,i can always find something to do..When i had my children at home i was pretty busy but now they are all big & leading their own lives...I like my life & i do not feel bored..What about you? does anyone feel they lead a boring life???? Do you enjoy your time...I told my brother that i would pay attention to what i do and let him know what i do with my time,because i seem to stay busy.....What kind of life do you live?????????Do you get bored??????

I always have plenty to do and I'm generally not bored but there are times when I do feel like "breaking out" sometimes. I feel like taking off on an adventure and discovering new places...that can be pretty boring on your own though and I don't habe anyone to go with. I think I know how your brother feels...lol.

Would your brother like to join myLot and find friends to talk to? Or perhaps he could have a pen friend...someone in another country so he is safe....lol. Your brother sounds like a really nice man. I've had several relationships as well and I have also been very unlucky...I think I really know how your brother feels.

Ms Tickle, let me tell you a little something about my brother..he has not done well in his life with women..His first wife went to work & found a boyfriend,they had 2 children my brother & her,but she left him for a man with money...The second wife was an athiest,and she had a son with my brother & walked off & left my brother to raise the son,she said after you have a baby you have done your duty & did not want the baby....Then a few years later he met this woman & she moved in with him,she left & went & had an affair with some hispanic guy & came & dumped the child off on my brother..So my brother is a kind hearted guy so he raised all these kids...by himself...Well now that all the kids are grown up 2 of them live with him but they are grown so my brother is just a single guy.He is 71 but looks like hes in his mid 50's,he is a good looking man...I think he is emotionally lonely,and he needs a lady friend maybe to just talk too ,someone to connect with ,go eat with & such..My brother has always been to good for his own good....He is plenty smart he has just not been lucky in the love department & thats sad...

Hi slickcut,
Sometimes I can't help but feel bored when I miss my work!I am a full time housewife now and no kids, so being far from my parents ans sister as well as hubby works every M-F, so, no matter how i tried to divert my attention, I will always find time that I felt bored and sad...ANyway, I know that this is temporary since I am looking for job here and I am very thankful to be part of mylot community! It makes me have a company when I am alone!

Oh yes i can understand that,because you are use to working and now a housewife & no children.I have been there and it is boring ...Like you though i did not stay there long ,i got out and got a job...I know when my children grew up i had that empty nest syndrome and i had a hard time but i got out there & started working..I hope you find a job soon that you will like..Good luck and keep mylotting...

I guess some people might say I have a boring life, I don't think so. I stay busy and always have something to do. I live in an active household, its hard to be bored, there is always something going on. My son, DIL and two grandchildren live here wih me. Does your brother have a computer, if he doesn't he needs to get one. You can never be bored with a computer. He can join mylot under your referral, he won't be bored anymore, he can earn a few dollars and then you can too, win win for both of you.

With all the people in your house i hardly think you lead a boring life..My brother does have a computer & a big Tv,also his son & his g/f live with him, i do not know how he could get bored...I think my brother would like to turn back time & get into a relationship but can no longer afford to have a relationship because he is on disability..After thinking about this Boredom he is talking about,i just do not feel my brother is staying busy enough & he is not really trying,because i do not get bored,i can find a million things to do...I have told him about mylot,hes not interested...I really think he needs a lady friend to go & eat with or to talk to...1 person likes this

I believe boredom is a state of mind. You are either interested in yourself or you are not. If you are not interested in yourself, then no matter how exciting you try to make your life, you will be bored as soon as you stop.
I used to be bored with myself, but I decided that only by being more interested in myself was I going to be less bored.
Now I'm seldom bored.

I don't have the most exciting life, although at times it has it's moments. Since I work as a wildland firefighter for the forestry, it can have it's moments. I was put on medical leave back in April, due to injury sustained at work. So since I have been off work since then and probably won't get released to go back until next season (we work March - mid-November) I have spent most of my time at home. But I don't get bored with my life, as I stay busy, doing something. I love being outside with my dog, tending to all the flowers my s/o has bought me this summer. I also spend time scrapbooking or out taking pictures. I straighten up the house, which doesn't take much time, since it's just the two of us. I spend some of my time online, checking out mylot, scrapbooking websites, and email. So I don't lead the most exciting life, I love the life I do have.

My life sounds much like yours..I don't think I lead a boring life, its not an exciting one, but I don't get bored, theres always something to do. I get up after the hubby leaves for work, I take my medicines, then I do my aerobic walking, I eat breakfast, and do my household chores, and watch tv or get on Mylot. Then later if I have errands to run like going to Wal-mart or paying bills, I go do that. Usually at least once a week I have some kind of doctor appointments, and I do that, talk to friends on the phone or email them. I like to spend quiet evenings after supper with my hubby, nothing too exciting, but like I said, I don't get bored.

I think you have an awesome life, slick.. as for me, I would be saying that 3/4 of my life is on my shift-work, and I have to divide the remaining 1/4 on leisure, spending time with family and friends, continuing the hobby that I truly love which is long-distance riding and also trying to get myself a real 'next-door girl'. Someday, I'll achieve that, ha!! Meanwhile, I'm enjoying myself to the fullest.

Lately I have been getting bored, howver I am still very busy with 3 kids aged 12, 3 and 5 months old. I think I am use to working full time. I have been off work (teaching) since December last year (8 months ago) and now I am starting to feel the boredom. I need lots of mental stimulation, lol. I am starting up new things, just joined the gym, doing Avon and will soon be doing tutoring for this 11 year old boy. I also like to visit friends a couple of times a week but I still get bored, don't ask me how, when I am so busy with bubs and my kids. But I know this boredom won't last long, next year when I go back to work I will be wishing that I was bored again.

Well.. my life isn't that amazing. I used to feel bored everytime, but now I don't. I don't know why, but I think I have found what my life should be, and I know what I really like. I like spending my time in front of computer. Since now I can access it 24/7 I never feel bored anymore.
My boring time was then when I was in my first year in university when I rarely get an internet connection. I just played with minigames in my computer...
I live an easy life.. very easy, I don't like it. I want to earn my own money, but I don't like it a hard way. I don't need that much. I just need enough for me to get what I want. Since I don't want too much in this life... yeah.. actually, my life is complete

Hi, I would say that's a norla life routine, you do what do every day million and million of people, important is that's you0re sotisfied with what you do and what you have, for some ismay be boring for million of other is life..you have to be satisfied, that's the only importanti thinks..

Thats great,i feel the same way...I am not leading the most exciting life but i am happy with mine as it is....I really do not understand why people get bored unless they do not use their time trying to stay busy...
