It's Been A Very Sad Week In The World Of Entertainment  

It is very sad indeed to lose them. They become part
of our life with out knowing them personally. They make
us happy, they entertain us. But we have to let them go.
Because they don't belong here anymore in this world of
the living. But their memories will always linger in our
mind.

I just saw that about Issac Hayes. That I did not expect. I knew Bernie Mac was in the hospital, but that was still a slight surprise too.
Sad news that they both passed away.

OMG, I did not hear that about Isaac Hayes, he was here in New Jersey about two months ago, I did not get to see him, I had something to do at the time he was supposed to perform.
It usually happens in threes whenever a public figure expires. I surely hope I do not hear anymore bad news.

I, too, was stunned with the news about Bernie Mac, given his young age. Also, on August 1st his agent had said they expected a full recovery after she announced that Bernie was in the hospital. What a tragedy.

And then, today, to hear that Isaac Hayes was found dead, and beside his treadmill! It is interesting how attached I feel to actors or musicians or famous people (like Peter Jennings, his death really affected me)whose work I have liked and respected.

I agree with you: so many of us will miss Bernie Mac's comedy and Isaac Hayes' presence on this earth.

It is very sad to learn that the stars you admired from all these years has died. it like a part of the era had come to and end, same as when Charlston Heston died I cried he was my favourite actor. Hugs.

Oh, I know Bernie Mac was so funny, and it is scary from what I read that in this day and age with all the modern medicine that someone can still die from pneumonia, My husband has been hospitalized 3 times with pneumonia, guess that stuff is really bad if you let it go long enough. I'm not sure who Isaac Hayes is but it is sad as well when good actors die. :)

yes i know. its terrible. getting to where every time i turn on the news one is gone i so loved! i asked my daughter the other day, what in the hecks going on in this world. lately so many people are dying around us in a blink of the eye here in the USA. she said mom we getting older. but Bernie was only 50!

Very sad for the entertainment world this week.

Just a small correction though. Isaac Hayes wrote and recorded the theme song to the movie "Shaft", which won him the Academy Award for "Best Original Song". Richard Roundtree was the actor who played the roll of John Shaft in the movie.

Isaac also did the voice of "Chef" in the adult animated comedy show South Park. Performed some great songs in that show also.

They will both be very greatly missed indeed.

I didn't know about Isaac Hayes. He was the bald headed, dark brown dude with the slight full beard, right. When? How? It's so sad to see people pass away period. But, when they were a part of your life - like if you can remember going to the movies to see Bernie Mac, or watching his show on tv - it makes you wrestle with your loved one's and your own mortality. I was so disappointed that the rumors that were floating around came to pass. Bernie Mac was young and had done so much. But, who is there really to be dissapointed at?

Oh yes, i was surprised to hear that both bernie mack and isaac hayes had past away its always sad to know that a someone, we have all grown use to seeing every day on tv will no longer be gracing us with there talent's i will definitely miss them
