It's not so much an every-day thing, but a really sad thing. Isaac Hayes died today. This man was incredibly creative, and telented in so many ways. He had to intestinal fortitued to perform in chains when he was making hit recordings (Shaft, et. al.) He appeared on talk shows and talked about issues, not just something he was trying to advertize. His writing jumped of the page and burrowed into the souls of the readers.
Even as the cook on South Park, Isaac Hayes was a magnificent man.
May he rest in peace, supported by the love and respect of everyone who experienced his work.

2 Icons in 2 days. I was shocked at both. Odd thing, when I heard of Bernie, I started surfing for confirmation and sadly saw it as true. Then I started watching some of his stand ups on you tube. I ran across a photo of Bernie, Issac and Samuel Jackson. If I'm not mistaking it was a film they may have been working on. Can't be sure, as I was still trying to get a grip on losing the Mac.
My condolences to both families.

They were working together on a film. I hope somebody's keeping an eye on Samuel L. Jackson! Did you notice during that film clip that Isaac Hayes was slurring his words and he seemed a little dizzy? Apparently that was a warning that the big stroke that killed him was on its way.
