Do you cover your face with books

to escape attention from somebody or something else? Had this ever happened to you? I have seen such scenes in cinemas few times! Or had any done like that to escape your attention?

I may have done that when I was very young but am more likely to put down my book to catch someone's eye now.

Yes, I always do it, but not to escape attention from somebody, sometimes to avoid the light affecting my sleeping when tired on reading.
