Whatever Happened To...???

In To Kill A Mockingbird, there were the two children of Atticus Finch, Jem and Scout. Does anyone know whatever happened to the actor and actress who played these parts? How about the actor who played the neighbor, the quiet man who stayed inside his house all the time because people were afraid of him, but he liked the kids and made toys for them and stuck them in the tree for the kids. Does anyone know who these actors were and what has happened to them since the movie?

now you have got me thinking,I know I saw it when I was in high-school with my class I loved it ,it was a real treat for me. I hope some-one here has the answer I too would love to know .Is there a book I could read and who wrote it please.

I first saw the movie when in junior high I think at home. Then in high school we had to read the book. Most books that have movies made from them, the movies are much different and if you see the movie first, the book isn't as much fun to read. But I have to say that this movie and book are very true to each other and not much different so I am sure you would enjoy the book.

Philip Alford who played Jem is a successful business man in Birmingham, Alabama.[ he also acted in Fair Play (1972) (TV); The Intruders (1970) (TV); Shenandoah (1965); and Bristle Face (1964) (TV). Scout played by Mary Badham. As far as I can find out she only played in 2 more movies and 2 TV shows, Dr. Kildare and Twilight Zone. Robert Duvall played Arthur 'Boo' Radley the quite neighbor. The first time i remember seeing him in any thing else was the TV Lonesome Dove series in 1989. he went on to have a long career with such movies as
in The Chase (1966) Godfather movies (in 1972 and 1974) and Apocalypse Now (1979). The Great Santini (1980). 1997's The Apostle John Q. Robert have won several awards too.

Mary Badham played Scout: Her latest movie was in 2005, she played Mrs. Nutbush in "Our Very Own"
Phillip Alford played Jem
The quiet man "Boo Radley" was played by Robert Duvall, who I'm sure you've heard of.
For movie information you can always go to imdb.com type in the movie name and you can get biographies of all the actors etc.
P.S. I LOVED this movie and book. Especially Scout.

Philip Alford...yes, that's right. I forgot who the actor was. I think he played the younger brother in the Civil War movie Shannandoah with Jimmy Stuart. I loved that movie and had a major crush on Philip back in those days. I was just a kid myself.
I didn't realize Robert Duvall played Boo Radley. Never did know who played Scout. Isn't that funny because I have the video. I just never paid attention to who the actors were. Thanks for some answers. I never heard of the movie Our Very Own. I will have to check it out.
