What genre do you enjoy reading?  |

 I prefer to read greek mythology/fictional books. One of my favourites is the Percy Jackson Series. It talks about these kids who are half god and half human, they are known as halfbloods or demigods. Their god parents claim them and they get special traits and powers if you must. It was an interesting series. How about you what genre and what book from that genre do you enjoy?

I have books about World War II and other military subjects, books about American History, books about science and technology, and books about social sciences and current issues. I'll occasionally read some fiction, such as Stephen King or Dean R. Koontz to get a break from the serious stuff.

2.  patgalca (6024) | 1 year ago |  I don't care for fantasy or sci-fi. I read mostly general fiction or women's fiction, but not particularly romance. I am not a history buff so if stories take place in an earlier era I don't really care for them. I am also trying to read a little more young adult books because I feel I may be able to write that some day. Currently I am writing women's general fiction. I also read self-help/spiritual type non-fiction books. I am currently reading Joyce Meyer's "21 Ways to Finding Peace and Happiness", though I much prefer watching her on stage so I have a couple of her DVD's and CDs as well.
Occasionally I will read a thriller but would rather stick to cops and robbers/detective mysteries.

Apparently what I really like is 'Urban Fantasy', though I'd never heard of the term till about a month back. Neil Gaiman's stuff like 'Neverwhere' and 'American Gods' would be good examples of this.
