...if people in the real world came with + and - buttons and ratings stars. That way when some one said something really stupid or rude you could hit the - button and watch their number go down. Then when you meet someone new you can look up at their star and see if you want to talk to them. I think it would be fun. The ! button would be great as well. Though I have to admit I would be the person running around pushing peoples buttons for fun.
So what do you think?

Hi! That would be a really fun world.
But I think it would bring a whole new level of understanding with the term 'discrimination'. I mean what would be the basis for having stars? At least here in myLot the basis is our activeness in the site.
On a lighter note, it really would be fun to just try and 'push everyones buttons' just for the heck of it.
Nice imagination.^_^

I think the whole basis for the stars would have to be simply to let people that meet you how well you get along with others and to keep the perpetual jerks on their best behavior. I don't know for sure but hey... it sounds good right. And yeah it would be fun trying to push peoples buttons. thanks for posting.

That would be fun to be sure. I would like to have that as an option. Poor hubby he would have a zero rating. Anyway, I can think of a few people I would like to push the buttons on. There are also some nice people who I would push their buttons very high. That is an interesting idea.

Hahahaha! That would be such fun!!! It would also make people behave better... especially if their ratings were displayed on their foreheads or something.
Do you know those thermometers that are flexible strips? They use them for babies, or used to. I've seen them attached to fish tanks, too. I've often thought that it would be great if we each had one that we could press on someone's forehead that would give pretty much the same reading as the + or - buttons.
The scale could read something like: "Really cool", "Okay", "Dubious", "Not a nice person", "Avoid completely" and "Run for your life!".
Actually, I believe I saw something like a portable lie detector that you could buy and use on anyone. It would be interesting, but I'm sure you'd have trouble getting a perpetual liar to take the test. Of course, if someone were unwilling to take the test, you'd know they were a liar anyway.

OMG I found one at coolestgadgets.com and they don't even have to touch it because it works by voice stress.I'd post a link but I don't have 500 posts yet. I like your idea too. It would sure have made dating easier. As for those that refused, yup that means they had something to hide so they would be telling on their selves.

I don't know I think it would be way too much like mylot.
Although, it would be nice if there was a list somewhere of people that had proved sometime during their lifetime as being less than educated so one could check
. That would be more useful to me. I would have to just mark people as negative all the time for things that I probably shouldn't.

I think it would be quite interesting. At the same time it might just get you into a lot of fights. I mean on mylot you can't really get into a fight, well at least it will just be a verbal instead of physical. I would be interested in knowing what people really do think of me. Even though I know that this would never really happen. But maybe they can develop it into the Sims games or something like that.
