Shopping on Worth Avenue in Palm Beach--Have you ever seen a Model Shoot?  | | | |  I had the chance to go shopping on Worth Avenue in Palm Beach last weekend. I really didn't know much about it, other than it is considered the "Rodeo Drive of Palm Beach." Found there are all the designer stores: Coach, Giorgio Armani, Juicy Couture, Tiffany & Company, etc.
It's a very interesting place to people watch, that's for sure. While I was there, in front of the Tiffany's, a model shoot was taking place. For real, I'm not kidding. I could not get really close as a police car was sitting there "guarding" the area. I swear, one of the models was 6 foot 5! I will remember forever that dress she had on and I'm going to look for her in advertisements in some of the fashion magazines. It was black and she had a feather boa-type collar. She had long, very dark hair. The other model, I believe, was blonde and holding a parasol. She was dressed in red. A guy was holding one of those gold screens to bounce the light off/on the models. Someone else was snapping pictures. The models were voguing for the camera!!
So tell me, have you ever seen a model shoot or anything like that? I was pretty fascinated with it.

| | Yes, I was in the right place at the right time. It was before 10 a.m. on Saturday morning. There were mostly empty parking spaces on Worth Avenue and almost no people walking down the sidewalks! I thought that was very odd, but I guess it wasn't for that particular area.
I kept driving around the block to try to see the model shoot and the policeman sort of started looking at my car. I felt I couldn't get out and walk toward them as he was surveilling the area.
Yeah, it was pretty cool and I'm going to try to remember what those models looked like and find the advertisements in the magazines, as I assume that's why they were shooting. | |  The only time I've seen this is when watching shows on television. It sounds like it would be interesting to see in person. I think it's neat how the photographer pose the models to get just the right shot.

Observing the model shoot was fascinating! She had on a dress with a feather boa type thing up by her neck or shoulders. It was 90+ degrees out and incredibly humid out. Just having to look good would be a chore. The model was posing all around and changing her facial expression. She looked absolutely gorgeous!

| |  The closest I have ever got to a model shooting was watching Austin Powers. That's the extent of it. I have watched Fashion Runway, too, and the models go through quite a lot to pull of one look! More people should give them credit for what they do! They work very hard and are drop-dead gorgeous!

I must say that it was quite interesting to watch this process. It was incredibly hot and humid, yet the models were all dressed up and looking perfect. I could not have done that in all that heat. I've only watched Fashion Runway once or twice and I liked it. Yes, I do agree that models put in quite a day of work. Just having to look that gorgeous takes alot of time, effort, and trouble. Oh, and did I mention 'discomfort'?
