Rebecca Soni of U.S. just broke World Record for 200m Swimming & Won Gold Medal!

This young lady just swam her heart out and set the world record for swimming the 200meter swim at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. And she won her first ever Gold Medal! This event was really fun to watch. Did you see this and what do you think of Rebecca Soni? If you didn't see this particular swim match, do you plan on tuning in soon to the Olympics?

I didn't get the opportunity to see this....but I am sure I'll be able to catch the hightlights! Thanks for sharing the info!

Hi jill. This young lady, Rebecca Soni just barely made it into the Olympics after someone else couldn't follow through, for some reasons. It was so exciting when she won, she just couldn't hardly believe it. And to think she wouldn't even have been in the Olympics, had the other person been able to compete...

We saw it. It was very cool. It's always nice to see someone win their very first gold medal. They are always so excited. It hasn't become old hand to them yet..lol.

Hey sunnflr. Yes, she got so excited! Plus, I think she's the one that only got to be in the Olympics because another athlete had to drop out for some reason. So, she got "scooted up" in the line and just barely got in. I know she is thrilled about that!
