How many times do you do it? |
|
Alam clock goes off...you look at the clock and think....5 more minutes.SNOOZE. My husband has to leave for work one hour before he is supposed to be there. But every morninghe hits than snooze button at least 5 times. When he does fially get up he has to rush to get out the door.
I was just wondering how many of us hit that snooze button and how many times.Or are you the type that gets up as soon as the alarm goes off?Let me know howmany of you jump up and how many snooze. We'll make a poll out of it.

1. lronMaiden (499) | 1 year ago | I have a bad habit of pressing the snooze as many times as I can before I would be late... So I put the alarm about 30 minutes before I really have to wake up. But there really is a reason for that. I can press snooze 6 times in 30 minutes so I wake up 6 times. It's a lot easier to jump off the bed when you have already woke up six times than if you wake for the first time...

2. CJay77 (2810) | 1 year ago | I can relate with you our alarm always set 30 min before wake up time just to have an extra! I'm keen to wake up on the first alarm and I will leave it besides my husband! My husband has this habbit pressing the snooze for 3 times before getting up in the bed, but thankfully I dont have to go back in the room to wake him up.

5. SydneyHazelton (1498) | 1 year ago | If I have to really get up in the morning at a certain time, I will try my best to jump out of bed, because I'm so afraid that I might fall back to sleep and wake up late. It ever happened to me and my hubby. We both fell back to sleep and both of us did not hit the snooze button. We were almost late. it was a bad start to the morning. So at the most, 1 snooze for me.

6. dolce_vita78 (4653) | 1 year ago | Hi there Jessbowers!
Well, when my alarm clock goes off, I would normally wake up but not get out of bed immediately. There are times that I would give myself few more minutes and set my alarm again. After that, I would get up. I have the tendency to oversleep that's why I can't afford to keep hitting on that snooze button. Otherwise, I might get late.

Jessbowers (166) | 1 year ago | If I were to just lay in the bed I would definately fall back to sleep. I wouldn't be late for anything but my girls would get real upset if they wereour response late for school. Thanks for your response.

7. cher913 (13770) | 1 year ago | i used to do it alot when i was working, now that i am on sick leave, i just naturally wake up at that time, but knowing i dont have to worry about going to work really helps! i like to lay in bed and hear the 7 am news and if the radio comes on before that, i will snooze it...at least once!

9. udischas84 (187) | 1 year ago | I used to be horrible. I am still not a morning person but the trick is to find a way that works for you. This way you still get up feeling rested, and at the same time you're not an enemy to anyone who you come across when you first wake up. I used to hit it so many times and would also result in being late for work or school at times. My solution was no matter what time I had to be up, I would set my alarm for 30 min before. When you hit the snooze, you feel like you're gaining that extra time when in reality you're tricking your body into taking the same amount of time. Before you know it you're body will get used to waking up at the time you are supposed to be getting up and you won't feel like you're cheating your body. There are also ways to fix up your room so that you get a better night sleep. There are certain foods and drinks to avoid before bed so that you don't stay up later than you should. Certain ones that include caffeine and are high in sugar or carbs. Also make sure that where you sleep you have the temperature at a mid point. Having it too hot can create a hibernation feeling and having it too cool may make you want to curl under your covers for a bit longer.

10. cjmobxnc (132) | 1 year ago | Most of the time I get up to turn the alarm off, but only because my alarm is across the room, and to turn it off I have to get up anyway. I figure why get up and walk all the way across the room to the alarm clock just to hit the snooze button, and then have to get up again not even 5 minutes later and do the same thing?
| |
| |
|
|
Jessbowers (166) | 1 year ago | I think it is funny that you have to walk across the room because my husband tried that once. He was the one to get back in the bed and have to get up to hit snooze again and again.Thank you for your response.

cjmobxnc (132) | 1 year ago | When I was younger, I had my alarm clock right next to my bed, and every time I would set it to go off, I would end up hitting the snooze button. Was late for school one too many times and had to go to ISS for 3 days, that's when I moved it across the room, and have had no problems with being late.

|
|
Jessbowers (166) | 1 year ago | When my husband put his on the other side of the room he still hit snooze and came back to bed. Thanks for the response.
