Sounds like a noisy fan or a fan going bad/ maybe the fan has come loose from the cpu also and after everything warms up it gets quiet. afterall with heat some items expand a little

if the fan was not doing its job or seated on the cpu properly, he would have more problems then just a noise.. would fry the cpu quite quickly lol oooo maybe he has, as not made any comments yet.. i hope not because new cpu not cheap to replace

the obvious reason for little noise coming from computer will be just a noisy fan.. Its nothing to worry about if all else is fine and computer not freezing up or suddenly shutting down.. which then could be cpu getting too hot, due to fan not working properly
If it was built neatly by someone then its unlikely be a cable catching on the fan.. that is normally another reason for fan being noisy or even build up of dust.

i think build up of dust is the main reason , the cpu is kept under the desk so i will look to clean it up and see what happens anyway mandykaren thanks a alot for your response.

you are very welcome
dust is biggest problem, and can give of a smell.. i use cotton bud or small paintbrush to clean it out.. and the motherboard fan.. I always get problems with motherboard fans, maybe cos are small so often stick and make quite loud noise.. (was having many connection problems yesterday grrrr.. so could not be in mylot much. )

It could be one of the fans ticking against any wire ,you do one thing, open the cabinet first, then clean the dust ,then see if any wire is in contact with fan,if so then remove the wires otherwise it may cause problems. Some times cd rom drive and harddisk also give noise. If fan is not the cause then take help of any hardware guy.

Some CPU fan starts to rotate at high speed when the system is started or booting. After some time the CPU fan stabilizes to a steady state. If this noise is not making any problems like system hang, you can ignore the thing, otherwise consult to the support people from where you have purchased the system.
