There is lots of talent around, in India. This would be accepted by everyone. Then there exists problems in every system and we don't find the right talent representing the country. Are we in a situation where we are still struggling to find the right talent to represent the country for tomorrow? With all aging legs in Test team, have we got the right people to replace them and take the Indian team forward?

I think we are losing the point here. Its not that the young talents that we have in the country are not talented enough to play well in the longer version of the game. We have found some gems for the future and I am sure they will be playing long careers once they get the due opportunities. With four senior players in the team all of whom are good batsmen and one old warhorse spinner in Kumble its very difficult for the youngsters coming in the team for the first time to get their choice of position. even when given the opportunity players like Gambhir and Ishant have excelled well above everyone's expectations. There are few other players who I am sure will do very well once they come to the fore. Rohit Sharma has already proved his temperament and ability and so has Suresh Raina. Badrinath is a talented young player who can be a match winner but he has yet to prove his ability in the international scene. The only player that I can think of who has lost the standard set by him is Irfan Pathan. He has failed miserably as a bowler to keep the promises that he made when he came to the international cricket. Though he has improved as a batsman but his main talent was bowling which he has lost. Players like Dinesh Karthick and Parthiv patel are also doing well in the limited opportunities that they get.

Yes, we are facing trouble for next generation. All the newcomers are good with shorter versions of the game and none of them showed any any class in tests. If we consider the last 2-3 years none of the new players are consistent for more than 2 series. Once in the team they are losing their game too fast. BCCI needs to find the reason for this and take some action
