My x used to say he'd do or fix things but apparently he was too
busy with 'them' and never got around to it!When I saw the below I couldn't help a chuckle!"Martha lost her husband three weeks ago. She had him cremated and brought his ashes home and kept them on the end table.
The other day she picked up the urn and went out to the patio. She sat down at the patio table and poured him out on the table.
She sat there looking at the ashes while tracing her fingers in them. After a few minutes she started talking to the ashes.
'Herman, you know that dishwasher you promised me? I bought it with the insurance money!'
She paused for a minute tracing her fingers in the ashes then said, 'Herman, remember that car you promised me? Well, I also bought it with the insurance money!'
Again, she paused for a few minutes and while tracing her fingers in the ashes she said, 'Herman, that diamond ring you promised me? Bought it too, with the insurance money!'
Finally, still tracing her fingers in the ashes, She said, 'Herman, remember that bj I promised you?'
'Here it comes. "Does your mate do what he/she says?xoxoxoxoxoxo

My husband considers something I've said (usually because he never responded or listened the first time I said it months before) a few times nagging - like to pause from his WOW game to talk or cuddle or spend time with the baby. So I generally don't ask him. I bide my time until I can work - I'm moving to MEridian soon where his family is and can then afford vouchers for childcare and start school and be independent.
The inherent promise in marraige is to be a partner, in things around the house, financially (even non-working wives bring something to the table, mom, housewife etc), and someone to go through life together with - interacting. So that's the main promise broken.
So I'll be a cross between Bea Arthers role (the elegant school teacher) and rose - slightly flaky/artsy and maybe even the real confident one but just not in terms of serial dating! EVen at that age I'll be looking for my Beshert.

So the last comment was like - If I ever leave my marraige, I'll do the Golden girls thing.

Raydene, I was in a really bad mood because we're about to be hit with a hurricane. You gave me a hearty laugh, which I really needed. Thank you, friend! That was just what I needed right now

Excelent Raydene,I like that one. Well single at the moment but my ex never got round to doing anything either, even though he was a mechanic my car sat on the drive for nine months waiting for him to fix, I sold it in the end teeling the people that bought it all what was wrong with it and the reason why I was selling it. Thanks for the chuckle! If I nag him long enough, he'll do it. I have gotten pretty good at doing certain repairs myself or install temporary fixes which will annoy hubby so much that he finally repairs stuff, lol.
