Olympic sports you just don't understand

Since I've been watching the Olympics I've encountered some new sports I never knew about before. Some of them are really cool like handball and rowing. However, there are some sports I just don't get at all even though I have watched them repeatedly and read the rules website. One of these is the race walk, because that doesn't look like a sport to me. Instead they just look like people that need to go to the bathroom! And my newest addition today, track cycling. I hope all you Brits can tell me about that because you seem to be really good at it but I didn't understand what the point was.
Do any other Mylotters feel this way? Are there some sports you just don't get? And if so what are they? Maybe we can provide mutual exchange of information.

I'm wathing handball right now. Though enjoyable there are still so many rules that I don't have a handle on. For the most part I don't usually watch sports that I can't understand after watching for a bit but sometimes the action is enough for me. I'm usually not much for looking up the rules either. Maybe that's the sport nut in me that feels like I should be able to figure it out myself.
Other than handball both water polo and track cycling give me troubles. It is amazing to see the athleticism it takes when playing water polo but there are so many whistles and no one seems to care. Track cycling is fun to watch for the funny looking helmets.

I don't understand rowing. Lol. And also water polo. xD I don't know. Maybe its just me. =P
Coz most often, I'm hooked with 'ball' sports. basketball and volleyball in particular. xD and I agree with you, race walk? For me it doesn't look like a sport as well :P
