Did you ever "feel" that you were being discriminated online?

Online one can meet different people from all races, from all religions/beliefs, professions, and countries. You get to meet all these people during a forum like this one, or through blogging, chatrooms, email or other online, social communities. Was there anytime that you have felt, "I should have won this contest, if I were this and that?" Or have you encountered someone who talks above you, thinking he has the monopoly of knowledge just because Enlish is his/her native language? But taking all these into consideration , do you agree that the "feeling" you have as being discriminated is just a matter of perception? That no one can make you feel that way unless you allow them to? What are your thoughts on this? Thank you for any sharing you would like to contribute.

Yes I do experienced that feeling, in online forums, yahoogroups, etc. it happens, but I just give them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe it wasn't their intention to discriminate, maybe I'm just making things up...

Every race has people that will always make you feel like you have lesser...it's just part of human nature! Skin color or ethnic background has nothing to do with it. People who consider them in a higher place exist in any nationality! I do feel like unless you allow someone to "get" to you that it's really the only way to have those feelings.
