I have a sister that I am very close to. We've been this way since we were young. There is nothing I won't do for her; or she won't do for me. I believe families should be close.Because someday they might not be here. So enjoy the time you have with them now. This is just something I wanted to share with all of you.

i wish i could turn back the hands of time. I got married in another country leaving my family behind. i always took them as granted. never thought that one day i will be longing just to see them for a minute or just talk to them. when i visit them (which is only possible once in every 2 yrs), i treasure every moment with them, especially with my 2 sisters. i feel young again when i m with them........doing crazy things which has disappeared from my life.

I agree with you, I am very close to my family. My husband is always talking about moving to Colorado, actually he mentioned it this morning. I said don't count on me, the reason why I said this is because all of my immediate family lives here in New Jersey. There is no way that I am going to leave my family to go to a state thousands of miles away knowing no one. He is not as close to his family as I am, so it doesn't matter to him, since he would be doing what he wants to do. I have one sister and two brothers and one son, thank God, both of my parents are still living. He has one sister in NJ, one in Atlanta, two sons who are in NJ, one of them doesn't even come by to visit. He is actually moving to Miami, and my husband is devastated, because he won't get to see his granddaughter anymore. But like you, I think family is really special. I can not understand how some families, can say, I never got along with my mother or my sister and I are not close. That is so hard for me to understand, because my family has always been close, and we all love one another. Bless you and your family

When I was 18 I joined the army reserves, and had to move from Wisconsin to South Carolina. After my schooling I got a job as cable installer in Columbia; South Carolina. I was on the job for about a year when I decided to take a vacation and go back home to visit with my family. I never realized how much I had missed them until I got home. Well I stayed here in Wisconsin and never went back to South Carolina, and that was 30 years ago.
