I discovered this quote in an email newsletter that I regularly receive:
To the outside world, we all grow old. But not to brothers and sisters. We know each other as we always were. We know each other's hearts. We share private family jokes. We remember family feuds and secrets, family griefs and joys. We live outside the touch of time.
--Clara Ortega
I have always held a similar belief, but had never stated it quite so eloquently. Do you believe this to be a true statement based upon your own personal experience or the observations of others sibling interactions?

I most certainly do believe this. I am close to my siblings. Often times I pull the family together so we can spend time together. We don't look at each other as getting older. We laugh about the good times and help each other through the sad times. We don't get older, just wiser.

My family is not close in that way, Elusive, but the ones that are still here are there for each other should the need arise. It is a precious gift to have a close relationship with your siblings.
