In these years,Japanese cluture are more and more rampant. Many of us are addicated
to all kinds of catoons. The result is that you will lose your own cluture soon.
This is not says things just to frighten people, that is ture.
Many things are affecting our values. If everyone imitigate cartoon characters, what
the world will be like in the future?
Respect your own cluture,it's my advice.

America is a land of many cultures to begin with, not a single one. Often times we inherit our own culture from our families. So it isn't a "cultural invasion"...it's just adding more diversity to a place already pretty diverse. Which isn't a bad thing at all.
As for other countries getting more anime, I'd say the same thing; it's cultural diversity and seeing art and entertainment from other countries...which can only expand awareness.
Cartoons can't affect our values. WE affect our values.
And I haven't seen people running around acting like cartoons and anime characters...so...

P.s., I'm responding from my own point of view. I find it hard to grasp what things are like in China...where your profile says you are from, so I hope you'll be patient with me.

I was ignoring the cosplayers, 'cause it's a hobby and they know the difference between reality and their favorite animes -- usually lol.
Anyway, it only seriously affects kids if their parents aren't involved. It kinda annoys me how often people think kids and their parents are two seperate equations, but until they grow up they're kinda a package deal..

I kind of agree with the first poster...But then I got this point of mine where Filipino anime otakus are...hmm...getting the hype bigger than the animes itself. This one article I posted at Informative Posts tackle that, how the anime fanatics like to conquer each and every event here in the Philippines that involve a little anime in some way. Like the komikon, that is a comics convention that is conducted to celebrate Philippine comics, but then it gets invaded by the anime community which kind of pisses me off. And then there are also artists here that is clingin more to the anime-style of drawing, which is wrong as told by my friend because if you keep at it, you'll lose the diversity. Anyways animes are not that influential when it comes to values, I don't know about China, but you really are beautiful...ooops, off-topic.
Anyways the thing that I would like to point out is it is diversion. But then we grow up, and eventually we'll realize that anime sucked big time one way or the other. And even if not, it will not kill the culture that is there already. It influences it by adding a diversion and not by making the other dissapear. You understand what I'm saying?
It's like this, animes won't affect us as much as the need for a living will do. As soon as we grow, everything will change. We will realize that we need to make a living, and then eventually start to leave this childish stuffs we grown up with. If there's anything that affects our values so much, it's the politics, and then we just tend to cling on to things that we know gives us a better time, like animes video games and toys. It ends there. It will affect our value, but not to the point that we will hail the japanese supreme to all beings. It's just a cartoon show, and everyone can do that now. Create a cartoon show that reflects the Chinese culture and it'll be fine.
And you're so beautiful to even think of those things. It will not happen.
My post is confusing...I hope someone could get my point, as I can't get my point either, I'm taken back by the beauty that I behold now...

And I'll add this one up. Back then we had this comic book here in the Philippines. It's called Culture Crash...why? Because the art is in anime orientation, but the stories reflect the Philippine culture and values...that's how it should be, with diversity.

I think this is not very fair to say so. When our culture has a big effect on other worlds, then we are happy. Why not we accept the foreign culture, too? Japan has many things for us to learn. We can also try our best to present good cartoons. It shouldn't be a conflict to the local culture. Perhaps we shall regard it as a drive.
I love China

Yes, I think so, and I can't agree with you more. Japanese culture is invading the world, probably because of anime. Heck, that's the main reason I was addicted to the Japanese culture! I don't support my own country's culture THAT much, but still, you're right. We really must support our own culture, instead of the others.

I quiet agree with you, too. But that's not only Japanese. I fell that more and more Korean programs have a greater impact on our adolescents. Next month, one of my colleagues will go to Shanhai for the SMtown Concert. And I can't imagine how magnificence it will be and how crazy the fans will be. Sometims I also fell anxious about their enthusiasm.

I really appreciate bows of Japanese as sign of respect to each other. I have the inspiration too of doing our own culture by doing "Mano Po" to elders, and families. Sometimes I do bow to others XD.
