A chicken found its way to my home......  | |  This is silly. But true. I live with my inlaws and they have never had pets, so they never liked the idea of me growing a pet. But one chicken was sent to my maid and it came to my house on the wasy. My kid saw the chick and wanted to play with it. So the maid said, if you want you can have it..
So i said ok. Now my kid loves playing with it and feeding it. So atlast i have a pet in my home...
Do you people grow chicks?
I have grown them when i was a kid but i would use some tips ...

I remember Grandma telling me not to hold the chicks too much, as they were very fragile and I could hurt them without meaning to. Chickens are prone to respiratory infections so make sure that it doesn't get too cold!

| | | 3. sharay (1360) | 1 year ago |  No..i havent had such an experience since from birth i was in the city and in city, it is very hard to have hens as pets...my hubby's parents live in a village and they have had hens, goats, love birds, dogs, some kind of big colorful beetles which my hubby used to catch from the nearby trees when its rainy season, cats, dove, etc...he showed me all the photos of pets since i havnt seen any (because they gave everything for sale before i was married to him)
