Often we see these tags on products: 'Sugar Free.' On beverages, colas, coffee sachets, chocolates, candies, pies, etc...etc..
But are they really sugar free?
Are these artificial sweeteners really does not have sugar in it?
Do you know any effects of these so called artificial sweeteeners?

Those items are 'sugar free'. Are they healthy? That is debatable as most of the time, the ingredients used to make sugar free sweets sweet can cause cancer in lab animals.
*
The original item the sugar is removed from usually has lots of other less than healthy ingredients such as fat, saturated fat, or is ingredient free such as soda pop.

For your health, your better off eating a very ripe fruit.

Fruits have natural sugars making them naturally sweet. They are also full of fiber so they also keep you full.

I don't buy much with artificial sweetener in it. I also don't buy anything with High fructose corn syrup in it either. If I buy a product that is sweetened I try to make sure it has natural sugar like cane sugar of organic sugar in it. I limit my intake of sugar but do not use artificial sweeteners.

I go for honey, molasses or karo syrup to sweeten some of our food. But just the same and since we eat outside, we're helpless if those products we bought outside are really sugar-free or just replaced with artificial sweeteners that are really bad for our health.

Legally, they can't claim something is sugar-free if it isn't, so I'd say they're telling the truth. The artificial sweeteners they use instead though, aren't always better. Sometimes they use natural sweeteners instead, but most often they use chemical substitutes like aspartame. There's been studies into how these affect you and there's been claims that overconsumption of aspartame can cause cancer, but I don't think it's been proven. If you're really interested you should do some research on the net. I'd be interested to learn more myself.

I agree. I do make some research about sugars though and although we need also sugar in our bodies, all must be taken into moderation and anything 'artificial' should be taken with serious care before taking it internally into our body.

Yes they really are sugar free. They contain artificial sweeteners which are chemicals and extremely harmful to your body.
I can't remember where it was, but there was a TV show about loosing weight just recently that stated that the artificial sweeteners could actually make you FAT! There've been studies done that show aspertame, the main artificial sweetener used, is actually more harmful to diabetics than sugar in small doses. There have been numerous testimonies about people who have symptoms of many different diseases including MS, and other neurological diseases that have eliminated those symptoms simply by cutting the artificial sweeteners out of their diet.
Bottom line, if you want something sweet, eat something with sugar, but eat it in moderation!!! Unless, of course you're diabetic, then you can use stevia or honey to sweeten, but it still must be eaten in moderation.

You're absolutely correct! And everyone should do things like these before taking anything into their bodies.
