First of all it's really hard to do when you have no idea what genre someone likes. It'd be much easier to give you advice if we had some idea what you like. If you are an open hearted guy who likes romance I recommend The Notebook and Memoirs of a Geisha. If you like science fiction try the Alienation Series. It's based on the TV show in the 90's and it's really well written. I enjoy it. For mysteries try The Number One Ladies Detective Agency or The Monk Series, also based on the TV show. If you haven't read Harry Potter. Try that. All 7 books are good but they might be a little heavy to lift just having had heart surgery so I would recommend getting them on CD and having someone bring you a player. I can relate because I have Cerebral Palsy and have trouble manipulating books of that size. Happy reading. I hope you like my suggestions and recover soon.
