As a child I grew up in the hinterlands of Taloctoc, Kalinga Apayao. I would never forget my growing up years because I was exposed to Mother Nature and basked in the peace and tranquility it had provided. My childhood memories consist of clear rippling rivers, bubbling streams, roaring waterfalls, lush verdant vegetation, towering mountains ( we had to hike a few hours then to be able to reach the nearest village)and rich flora and fauna. I would always remember how we splashed (completely naked..lol) in the clear waters if the Chico river. I consider it a Heaven on earth then eve if the river had nearly claimed my life twice. Of course time had eventually brought in progress and together with the "disadvantages" of it. I still have to visit again my childhood village in the near future after more or less 20 yrs. What about you? Do you have childhood memories that will forever remain in your heart? For more of the place , you can visit my blog at http://theclamorofkalinga.blogspot.com/

Some of the best years of my life were when we lived on the farm...rolling meadows..a nice farm pond where we would ice skate in the winter...barns of hay to play in and a grove of trees that made the most perfect jungle!
