Is Dr.Pepper the oldest soft drink ever made as far as being nationally known?

It has like tons of combination of flavors as far as I know that are suppose to be secret ingredients. As far as I know it was out before Coca-Cola. Some people I know thinks it taste like cherry medicine which is why they don't like it.

I think Coca Cola is actually older the Dr Pepper.
