For the last pass weeks Ive been wanting to see the case of Michael Vicks... You know the quarteback in football for the Falcons? Well they had a case of him Fighting Pitbulls...Well lastnight it was on and they had found 63 dogs at his home not including the ones that were buried in his backyard. Michael would fight these dogs to there death and if they didnt die fighting he would drown them , poison them, beat them.. There was one dog he picked up and smashed on the ground. If they didnt personally kill these dogs Vick wouldn't feed them.. He'd letem starve. Wouldnt do anything for them. Michael Vick had three other men in on this with him.. These men participated in the same horrible routines.. They ha a big Black House built in the back of his home for these dog fights to go in. They would get the dogs all worked up , put cocaine on there nose to aggurvate them.. Anything to get these dogs all rauled up. In December 2007 Michael had his final trial he was sentenced to 23 months in prison and over a million dollars in fines. After all this vicks filed bankruptcy. As of January 2008, over half these dogs were taken in to a shelter one of the nations no kill animal rescue facility. This rehabilitated them from there former lives as "fighters". A majority of these pitbulls were taken into homes and adopted. These dogs were shocking to the world they werent agrresive around people or other dogs. They just wanted to be loved.. Acouple of the dogs were put to sleep for there anxiety or medical problems. These dogs were taken in and completely turned around. Michael Vicks had to pay for these dogs care at the rehab and the homes they were taking in...Best friends society received 18,275 for each dog they had taken in. These dogs are not killers they're loving dogs.. I couldn't believe my eyes when I seen that all these dogs wanted was just a normal life they wanted to be happy.. I personally couldn't get over this I think this is an awful thing. People already look at pitbulls the wrong way.. I believe its all on how you raise them. I just dont understand how most of these football players come from poor families get another chance and ruin it like this.. Its beyond me....Im just so disgusted on how people can do this to animals..

No unfortunately, I missed it. But as with most shows, Animal Planet is bound to repeat it.I too think the treatment of these poor dogs was sick. Makes you wonder how he truly treated people, doesn't it? I think he got what he deserved. ANd the stigma of it will be with him after his jail sentence.

I saw the show. It was so horrible. I'm glad that so many of those dogs were helped and not destroyed. I agree with pits can be great dogs, it's all in training. Just like with kids! I love Animal Witness, it's a cool new show.
