Has Anyone Heard of Typobounty.com?

I heard about it on another website and joined (a bit sceptically). Typobounty is about being paid to weed out any spelling or grammatical errors on websites. When I joined the program, there was a list of sites I could visit. I found a few typos on the two that I visited, so I submitted my corrections. The site owner can either approve or disapprove of your correction/s. Of the ones I submitted, two were approved and I got paid $2.05 for each. (for proof, check out the list of 'Top Users' on the right hand side. Scroll down. I'm 'eagle eye'.) If you're good at picking up on typos, it might be an idea to join. The money you could earn won't split your wallet, and there currently aren't that many sites to check, but what they pay per approved typo isn't bad (once/if you find them). Just thought I'd share. (p.s: Their site can only be viewed in Internet Explorer).

Hi labels I don't know if they pay by AlertPay or eMoney, but I know they definitely pay via PayPal as that's how I got paid.

I had not heard of this. I looked at the site and I might give it a go. It looks as if you have to download some software, so I am a bit unsure about how this will work. I do use Internet Explorer, and if it can be done on the site, without downloading anything, that would be no problem. I agree it's not going to be a big earner, but I think it could be fun to do.

I tried downloading the software. Not entirely sure it downloaded, but I was able to submit my corrections just fine. Good luck!

You've been posting a lot of interesting stuff. I never heard of Typobounty, but I just found it and bookmarked it. Note: sites often say they can only be seen with one browser, but it isn't true. I use Omniweb (a Mac browser) and didn't have any trouble with it. It probably works fine in Firefox, too. Anyway, I'd like to hear if you're still using this site and if you're happy with it. I'm good at finding typos (not always when I'm on Mylot, though), so that's just the job for me, for a bit of fill-in money.

Hello again! It's been a while since I passed by Typobounty as I wasn't seeing anything new. However, I will drop by soon to see what's up. I really enjoy proofreading but I don't get that many paid opps for it - plus it tends not to pay as well as writing. However, I have gotten a few proofing gigs here and there, so it might be something for me to explore in earnest next year. take care...
