Do you like music from the 50s 60s and 70s? do you like it better than the music we have today?

it is better. My old boss was telling me the other day that her father used to say the music she listened to was a racket when it first came out and that they only ever used 4 chords, i asked her what it was and she said Buddy Holly and the Crickets! I like Buddy Holly!

Having grown up in the 60's and 70's (well I remember the later 60's anyway since I was born in 1960), I love listening to this music. The songs bring back lots of good memories (and some bad) for me and it's wild that I can remember the words to these songs when I can't seem to remember what someone bought me for my birthday 6 months ago. *grins* I like some of the music of today. I like pop and country. However, I am not a big fan of rapping or hard rock. I mean, is it just me or can you not understand the words either? And I feel that musicians nowadays feel they have to curse and whatever to have hits and that's just not true. Some of the greatest songs have no curse words in them whatsoever. So in summation, I like the older music better than the music of today.

Yes I do tend to like the music from yesterday. My children also like the music from the past. I think they knew all the words to the Abba songs from Mamma Mia, and we have a dvd and cd of songs from the past, one of there fave is Human Leque... Don't you want me baby

Hi I love music from all ages, but my favourite era had to be the 80's when I went through my teenage years. I prefer it to any of the more recent music. When it comes to my playlist, I have music from just about every genre possible and back as far as the 50's up to stuff in the charts now. I can listen to just about anything. My favourites are rock n roll and rockabilly, and as I say eighties music. I have to say though my least favourite styles have to be country, soul and opera. I have very few tunes of this style to listen to.
