At two in the morning, I still haven't found myself fall asleep. Then at three, we have to rush our baby to the hospital. His body temperature got higher and his asthma worsen. But I have to leave for my scheduled official trip out-of-town. I came to the airport 10 minutes before the boarding time and we arrived the city of Iloilo, the seminar venue at 9:00AM. We came an hour late for the seminar but we still made it. The seminar went on until 5:00PM and after that first day of the seminar, my group went for a dinner and a taste of the city's night life until 11:00PM. I survived the first day without sleep and even with no bath. But my thoughts were left with my kid.

I hope your baby is doing well as of now.
I had experience not sleeping for 24 hours also. It was when I was the network administrator of our office. Our file and mail server went down and people were not able to log-in to the system. I had to work overnight to troubleshoot or find the cause of the problem. I was able to make the servers work again
but I have make sure it does not go down again so I work the following day without sleeping and changing clothes

I understand what you feel neil. But as long as you know your son is free from danger before you left then that would be fine.I would expect that you keep communicating with you wife to see how your son is doing since he is still in the hospital before you left.

Hello neildc.
It must be so difficult to be away from your son while he is sick. And most people try to enjoy the seminars and the time away from home is usually a nice respite. It sounds like you are trying to go along with the group as you should, but that it is difficult.
The last time I stayed up for nearly 24 hours straight was a few months ago when my husband and I went to Las Vegas. There's so much going on there that it's tough to lay down and go to sleep.
Take care, neildc. I wish your son a speedy recovery.

I have exprienced being awake for more than 24 hours when I was in a big problem last 2006 of september. I was really trying to sleep during that night but I can't feel like sleeping. I was lying on bed more than five hours but sleep doesn't come to me. And as I remembe rit well I was able not to sleep for almost 3 days due to intense thinking of my problem during that time.
I wish you kid will be fine!

I woke up 6 am in the morning because that is my usual waking time, and I slept 11 am the next morning. Mother asked me to accompany her to the Divine Mercy vigil. I was still very much intact on the night of the vigil, but when the sun came, I think that my head will gonna burst into pieces.
i hope that your baby will recover soon.

Hi neil,
I am glad you made the tip and how is your baby? I have often lain awake all night and couldn't get any sleep and all day as well so I have been awake 24 hours a few days ago. I hope all is well.
