My brother's house got broken into last night or earlier today!

I just got off the phone with my brother. The house that he is buying and fixing up got broken into last night or sometime today. They stole the copper plumbing and all of his tools. He was going to be moving into the house this weekend. I guess now his plans are going to be pushed back a bit. Have you ever had your house broken into? Is copper really worth that much that people break into houses to steal it?

Yes copper is what people want.
Sort of like poorman's gold.
So to answer your question yes people are looking for copper
and if they are desperate they will take it.

my house has been broken into two times,they only stole my money.one time they did on night when we were sleeping,the other time at daytime when we were out.fortunately i dindn't leave much money.i have called police ,every time they came and check,then no later information!

Wow that's not a very good thing.... I'm sorry that happened to your brother and I hope he's able to get his hhouse fixed up soon and moved in. I guess it was better that it was broken into before it really had anything of extreme value in it. and i'm not sure how much copper is worth but it sucks he lost his tools!!!!
