I just started to read the book of Corinthians again last night. So that scripture you quoted is fresh in my mind. I believe that I did add the scriptures where most of the things that I quoted are found. I apologize if I missed some. If more people could view God as their heavenly father, they would not be so afraid of him. Although he does not always like what we do, he always loves us.

Amen, I was thinking about when people say they haven't done any wrong in life like some "other people" have yet I was thinking about that lately. Don't we sin just by becoming angry, or telling a little white lie, and even when we give to a beggar, do we give it with a good heart or just to score a point? Not that many people admit to such things but it's true. I have tried to live my life right but there are always faults. I thought about what a pastor said one day..."he paid a debt we could not pay..." and it's so true. Take care of yourself ok?

Thanks for what you said, I am not sure if its for me or for Rozie, it doesn't matter. I see that you are new here so let me say welcome to Mylot, its good to have you. As for a little of my story. My life flipped upside down and inside out when my hubby of almost 27 years died in front of me. Its been tough going, my life was taking care of him. Now I am me, I have to figure out the rest of my life, I am 47yrs. old. My income stopped when he died, life is tough and also lonely. I totally believe in God, and know that things will be ok. Take care and thanks for your encouragement for myself and Rozie, she is a special lady.

I think we are all here to encourage each other to get to the end of this life. I cannot imagine seeing my husband dying in front of me. I tell God don't give me the life that Job had because I think I couldn't bear it Lord but who knows what plans he has for any of us. You are a Job but just remember that God is beyond all of our knowledge. I found a verse in the Bible when I had a friend whose grandson passed away at 10 years old. It's in Isaiah 57:1,2 The righteous perish, and no one ponders it is his heart; devout men are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil. Those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death."

It's so hard to tell someone it's going to be ok when someone they love dies but I found peace in that verse. I know we are going to miss the person that is taken away but they are in our heavenly Father's hands so lets strive to get there.

I know what you mean about wanting to flip your life back to the way it was. A little more than three months ago, I could not have imagined my life would be the way that it is right now. Everything seems to be going wrong. But I continue to remind myself that God is still on the throne. He knows why my life has taken the turn that it has and he is going to bring a miracle out of it all.
Right now, I am in the process of learning to trust God to the point where I change my desires to line up with his will for my life. Any other words, I do not have any plans of my own. I realize that right now my life is in transition and if I decide to direct my own life, it will be a disaster. We have to be willing to go with the flow when it comes to God.
I remember taking swimming lessons as a child. The teacher was holding on to me and attempting to coax me from the side of the pool where I was holding on. I was very afraid to let go. Finally, I did let go, but I was still too fearful to learn to swim. The point is, we have to trust God enough to let go of the side of the pool. He will never let us drown, he will always hold us up and help us advance to the next level.

Rozie you such a smart lady, your going to make it. I am going you send you a PM with my email address. Anytime if you want to write back and forth in private I would be glad to. I think it sometimes helps to be able to just talk to a friend, in our case email. I know it helps me sometimes. We are both in a period of change, change can be scary. Its hard to let go and totally trust even when we believe with all our hearts.

It's hard to flip back, especially when you keep waiting to do it. You think "well I'm not ready for this or that to change". Sometimes it's hard feelings about things that happen to us but honestly how much can we blame others for what has happened in our lives? It gets to be old excuses for not going on. I think if we said "Lord I don't know where I am going but I want you to lead me where you need me to be..." then He will.

I like working with the youth also. I am not sure which age group would be best for me. I like relating to toddlers and teens and all those in between. They are our future and they need understanding.

Yes, these are the words that will help us endure the storms of life.
