Your question made me think back to the origin & roots of my name - and it made me smile. My official name is one story, but what I want to share here is the story of my nickname - the name that my family use to call me, talk about me, refer to me. It's from Marathi and it means - "the apple of my eyes." I think there's something special about that meaning; a child/adult will always feel special knowing that his/her parents thought of that particular name - so that the child/adult would always remember how special he/she is to the parents. In fact, it is a name I always recommended when to-be parents ask for name suggestions.

I don't know what my name really means. BUt I know that my dad named me after a famous bold star. And I know this famous little girl character who is always seen around the world and has a collection of children's books that are available in most bookstores.
