Do people ever misspell or mispronounce your name?

This hasn't happened to me before. I have a very simple and short first name. My last name maybe but very rarely. People tend to replace the E with an I. It sounds awkward but its just ok for me. I just say it again more clearly for them to know the correct pronunciation of my name. How bout you? Do people ever misspell or mispronounce your name? How do you feel about it?

Yes. It happens all the time, with both first and last names. I used to be really annoyed by it, but that's passed, somehow. One of the problems is that I live in a predominantly hispanic area, and hispanics spell my first name differently. Americans add letters in the middle of my last name, for no reason I can figure out. One of the mispronunciations of my last name comes from anyone who knows Italian, as it is a common name in Italy, but not pronounced the same. Once in a while I correct people, but I usually just ignore it. My closest friend owns a beauty salon, and she writes my name in the appointment book spelled wrong. I've been correcting her for literally decades, but she still spells it her way. Oh, well, I'm glad she's my friend, even if she can't spell!

Yes, for the past five years at work, there are some members of the crew that insist on shortening my name. I hate it. I have expressed to them that I would prefer they call me by my proper name or proper nickname but not this particular shortened version they use. I think some of them do it out of laziness.

Hi there Tidgea!
Yeah, it rarely happen but it does. My name is Angelica and some would spell it as angelika or anjelica and sometimes mispronounce it as anghelica.

Hi Tidgea, It happens to me many times. People do often misspell as well as mispronounce my name. I used to feel angry at the beginning but now I got used to it.
